First Online Learning Activity: Understanding Media Influence and Building Critical Thinking

The first online learning activity of our Erasmus+ project was successfully organised by the Turkish partner, İdeaX Education and Culture Association, in cooperation with its affiliated school, Kemalpaşa Ferzent Bulum Anatolian High School.

The three-session programme took place on 24 November, 28 November, and 5 December, bringing together approximately 12–15 students from each partner organisation, aged 14–18.

Participants included:

• Lycée des Coteaux (Cannes, France)

• Colegio Malvar (Madrid, Spain)

• İdeaX Education and Culture Association and Kemalpaşa Ferzent Bulum Anatolian High School (İzmir,Türkiye)

The training sessions were delivered by Dr. Öner Uslu from the Faculty of Education, Ege University, who introduced students to key topics related to digital safety, online ethics, cyber responsibility, digital footprints, and responsible online behaviour.

In addition to expert-led presentations, students actively participated in interactive workshops, group discussions, role-playing activities, collaborative tasks, and digital reflection exercises. These activities encouraged participants to analyse real-life online scenarios, develop critical thinking skills, and exchange ideas with peers from different countries.

The online programme provided an excellent opportunity for international collaboration, strengthened students' digital awareness, and promoted responsible, safe, and ethical participation in the digital world while fostering intercultural dialogue and European cooperation.
